Golden.

Golden is its own town, sitting right at the mouth of Clear Creek Canyon.

The housing

What to expect in the area.

There is a Victorian downtown core, post war neighborhoods around it, and newer subdivisions climbing toward the foothills and the mesas.

The streets

What it is like to live there.

Clear Creek runs through the middle of town with a path alongside it. North and South Table Mountain stand on either side, Lookout Mountain rises to the west, and the Colorado School of Mines is right in town.

At market

What to know before you buy.

Foothills lots bring slope, drainage and access questions that flat city lots never do. Golden also runs its own municipal rules, separate from Jefferson County's.
